gardner building (jilly’s and Green Isaac’s)

F.O.Gardner, a lumberman was first on this site with his general store. That was followed by this building constructed in 1921 by his F.O.’s son Wade Gardner - see Gardner Building. Today Green Isaacs is a popular stops for visitors and residents alike looking for a good cup of coffee, tea, or handcrafted soda. Green Isaacs is the epicenter of this Pentwater Stories project with the display of six story panels and a larger Pentwater history map. The popular coffee shop (and more) proprietor is Brian Prescott. Prescott can be seen supporting many community events, including the Farmers Market, where he sells coffee and sweets.

Jilly’s Gallery, is also in this building, that was once home to a baker. The enormous mixing “bowl”used by the bakery is still intact in the back of the gallery.
